Mobile Grooming is a Game Changer for This WFH Fur Mom

I used to stress about grooming days… driving, finding a parking space, waiting, and juggling my work schedule. Now? My go-to groomer comes to me. Super convenient, professional, and my dogs look (and smell) amazing every time. Total game changer for this work-from-home fur mom!

Grooming my dogs myself is something I really enjoy… I’m very hands-on with them. That’s why, when we built our home, we made sure to include a dedicated grooming area just for our dogs. It was part of the entire construction plan. That’s how much our furbabies mean to us.

But I still prefer to have a professional groomer take care of it two or three times a year because they really know how to cut the hair evenly… way better than I can. I’ve had a not-so-great experience before when I tried to trim my dog’s hair myself using regular scissors and accidentally cut his skin. It was such a scary moment, and after that, I knew I had to leave it to the pros.

Plus, there are things like nail trimming, ear hair removal, and ear cleaning that only trained groomers know how to do properly and safely.

Our new favorite professional groomer is called PawRK N’ Style – Pet Mobile Salon and I 100% recommend their service! I’ve heard about them before, but I only got to try their service for the first time last year. Since then, they’ve become my go-to.

first two sessions in 2024. Besides the bath, my dogs get a relaxing 5-minute body massage afterward!

What really sets them apart is the owner… he’s not only professional, skilled, and hands-on, but also really passionate about his work. On top of that, he’s a fellow dog lover who goes the extra mile by sharing helpful tips on nutritious food for pets. You can tell he genuinely cares, and that makes a big difference.

PawRK N’ Style – Pet Mobile Salon comes over fully equipped with their mobile grooming setup, and I can easily check in anytime since I work from home. Their grooming area doesn’t have that strong dog smell you often get at grooming salons.

I’ve always been that fur parent who wants to see what’s happening during grooming… not because I’m picky, but because I’ve heard way too many horror stories from fellow dog parents about grooming gone wrong. So when I do book a professional, it’s important that I completely trust them.

As for the rates, it usually starts at ₱1,000+ per pet, but it can vary depending on your dog’s size. Read More

From Childhood Memories to Tennis Rallies (No Score Needed)

This was so random but so special.

I came to celebrate Tita D’s birthday, knowing a few childhood friends would be there… but I honestly didn’t expect to see Angelica, my closest back then. We used to hang out and play as kids (and teens), but we hadn’t seen each other in maybe 10 years? We caught up, and then came the surprise: she used to play tennis!

If you’ve read this previous blog post, you know I just found out that my dad did as well. There was always a tennis racket hanging in our house, but I never asked about it until recently. Turns out, my dad also used to play with Angelica’s dad back in the day! I guess I was too busy staying in my room to notice what was going on in the world. Haha! It’s like all these little connections were sitting there quietly all this time.

So we decided to hit the court together! She hadn’t played in a decade, and I’m still a beginner (currently doing coaching sessions), but I’ve been squeezing in practice time whenever I can, with friends who play too.

If you made it this far, you owe me a kudos :p

Here’s a little video highlights from our game… just a fun, laid-back rally with my childhood friend. You’ll even catch me doing a few slice shots*… I’ve been watching way too many Federer matches lately eh

We didn’t keep score or anything. It was just for fun. A relaxed rally, lots of laughs…. and misses! Hahahaha. We played in the shade. So yeah, no sunburns, baby!

It’s such a nice feeling to realize I have one more person I can play tennis with now. Even better that it’s someone from way back in my childhood. Life has a funny way of reconnecting people when you least expect it.
